Wow! You blow my mind, Pierre! This composition and story of stacked china is quite a feat! I adore the reflections on the surface of the cups- especially the two on the top of the tower. The subtle nuances are so effective in expressing the shiny, reflective surfaces. Glorious!

Love the balance here! (In more ways than one.)

Thank you Nicki! I'm sort of addicted to this china series. To make my case worse, I recently discovered a beautiful shop specialised in antique china, crystal and tableware only 10 minutes from my studio. This is where I purchased one of the sets (cup on the top), a Royal Bayreuth (Germany) from 1794.
A great week to you!

Thanks Rob! In the next months I will create some larger paintings on that same subject which will allow to push further on definition and subtilties. Have a wonderful week!

Merci Emmanuel!

Love the precarious stack, Pierre, and the way the light seeps across this painting. Merry Christmas to you!

Thank you Don. Always a challenge not making those spontaneous structures fall apart! I wish you a wonderful holiday season!
